integrated digital systems for Mobile Road Infrastructure

Hardware. Software. Regulatory-ready Architectures.

Digital systems for mobile road infrastructure require seamless integration to connect physical infrastructure, embedded electronics and operational traffic systems into a coherent and scalable architecture.
Onsite Data Intelligence develops integrated technology for mobile road infrastructure, combining robust field hardware, reliable data processing and seamless system integration. Our systems are designed for long-term roadside operation, operational reliability and compatibility with established traffic management environments.

Through our strategic partnership with Adolf Nissen Elektrobau GmbH + Co. KG, these technologies are integrated into established road safety products, enabling industrial-scale deployment aligned with regulatory frameworks and European ITS legislation.

Hardware integration

Ingeniously simple hardware. Built to scale.

Mobile road infrastructure – signal lights, safety beacons, barriers – is transformed into connected infrastructure intelligence by integrating IoT elements providing positioning, status monitoring or event detection.

Our hardware technology focuses on ingeniously simple, robust, electronics designed for demanding roadside environments and built to scale. The hardware architecture is designed for seamless integration into existing devices aligned with regulatory frameworks such as BASt-certification for road safety solutions.

Our first innovation, the IoT Baseplate, was recognised with the “Best Product Innovation of the Year” Award by ERTICO – ITS Europe at the ITS World Congress 2021 in Hamburg.

The data generated by connected infrastructure is processed through scalable software architectures and modular middleware that ensure secure transmission, reliable data management and seamless integration into operational systems.

Our technology enables infrastructure data to be integrated into traffic management systems, digital twins, C-ITS / CCAM environments and national platforms such as EVIS.AT or GIP in Austria.

Modular architecture and common standards for data quality and interfaces allow interoperability with existing public-sector IT environments and established traffic data platforms to ensure data contextualisation for advanced traffic event intelligence.

standards and regulations

Aligned with Regulations. Built for Interoperability.

Public digital road infrastructure operates within a complex regulatory framework that requires expertise and regulatory insight. Our systems are designed as complete solutions aligned with European regulations (e.g. EU 2023/2661), national legislation (e.g. IVS-G), C-ITS specifications (e.g. C-ROADS) and certification requirements for road safety solutions such as BASt in Germany.

This ensures that digital infrastructure data can be seamlessly integrated into interoperable traffic information systems and European data ecosystems via National Access Points (NAP).

Cooperative Projects shaping the Future of Digital Road Infrastructure.

research and innovation 12x15

Onsite Data Intelligence works closely with leading research institutions and technology partners to advance the digital transformation of road infrastructure.

Through participation in research and innovation programmes we explore new approaches for infrastructure intelligence, AI-supported analysis and CCAM environments. These projects help translate emerging technologies into deployable solutions for real-world road infrastructure. Current work includes research on digital infrastructure landmarks for CCAM environments, such as the project CCAM Artificial Landmarks.

We collaborate closely with leading R&D partners including ITS Vienna Region, AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and Silicon Austria Labs.
